Why I Created It

This SGI Nichiren juzu is made for those chanting daimoku or seeking a meaningful companion for meditation and daily mindfulness — a piece built with traditional construction and genuine, untreated stones.

Materials & Meaning

Chrysoprase, the main body of this juzu, is traditionally associated with compassion, growth, and gentle courage. The parent (father and mother) beads and five rufu are agate, traditionally linked to grounding and protection. The four jar beads are aventurine, traditionally associated with calm and good fortune. The enlightenment bead and four bodhisattva beads are clear quartz, traditionally regarded as a stone of clarity and amplification.

The juzu follows traditional SGI Nichiren construction, hand-knotted bead by bead.
