A live evening together: one hour to talk about what lies behind the pages of The Path of The Mala.
I'll talk about the tradition of malas, the earliest malas in history, the meaning of the materials they're made from — and above all, how to bring them into everyday life as a tool for somatic anchoring: a life full of stimuli, often chaotic, where rediscovering a simple, repeated gesture can make a difference.
I'll also tell you about King Boliuli, and you'll see with your own eyes — you'll even be able to hold it — the earliest mala we have written record of. And no, it's not what you imagine.
A little about me: I'm Cristina Penna, guide, yoga and meditation teacher, author of The Path of The Mala and founder of Samdea, where I create malas and jewelry with natural stones to accompany daily practice.
During the evening you'll be able to purchase the book and discover a selection of handmade malas and bracelets, including many one-of-a-kind pieces not available on the website: maybe yours is waiting among them.
