THE ODAKA YOGA SYMBOL

The Sword

The sword with its tip pointing toward the earth symbolizes the soul of the warrior, the “bushido.” Not the one who goes into battle to fight, but the one who learns not to fight. For this reason, it becomes “doing,” the “way.”

The Snake

The “kundalini” snake rising from the first chakra to the head, evolving, symbolizes yoga. The snake represents fluidity: not stopping the mind, not identifying with it.

The Eagle

The eagle, the animal that flies higher than all other creatures, symbolizes freedom: the ability to act, or not act, without constraints. And so, when in Odaka the warrior’s path and yoga meet and become one, we rediscover our freedom.
