Why I created this mala

This is a one-of-a-kind mala, crafted with natural 8 mm sand jasper beads, a lava stone meru, and a Tree of Life pendant. It's designed to accompany meditation, mantra repetition, quiet moments of reflection, and everyday life, with a presence that feels simple, warm, and deeply grounding.

Materials and meaning

Jasper is traditionally regarded as a stone of strength. In alchemical symbolism, it's sometimes associated with Mercury and Mars, also in relation to its iron inclusions, a metal that evokes energy, action, and generative power. It's symbolically connected with creativity, the realization of projects, enthusiasm, determination, courage, steadfastness, endurance, and resilience — often chosen by those who feel the need to reconnect with courage, stability, and presence in the face of life's challenges.

In symbolic traditions, jasper is also frequently associated with protection, inner honesty, and the ability to remain faithful to one's path. Its sand-toned color carries a strong connection to the earth, to balance, and to a reflective quality that evokes the past, the present, and what is slowly taking shape in the future.

Lava stone is a naturally porous volcanic material that can absorb a small amount of essential oil. For this reason, you can also use the meru as an aromatic support by applying one drop of oil and allowing it to absorb fully before wearing the mala.

The Tree of Life pendant evokes roots and growth, stability and expansion, belonging and openness.

The stones on this mala are genuine, untreated gemstones — not dyed, not heat-treated to alter their color. The cord is very durable, built to hold up under daily wear.
