Sandalwood Mala Beads with Indian Agate and Jade Buddha Pendant

Why I created this mala

Hand-knotted with 108 authentic sandalwood beads and Indian agate, and featuring a hand-carved jade Buddha pendant as the meru bead, this mala pairs meditation practice with genuinely rare material — real sandalwood, not the imitations common on the market.

Materials and meaning

Sandalwood has been valued for centuries across meditative traditions for its warm, grounding fragrance, which turns every breath into a small pause. Please note: a lot of what's sold as sandalwood on the market isn't genuine. True sandalwood is sacred in India, precious, and distinctive in scent and quality — it isn't available at low cost. This mala is made with authentic sandalwood.

Indian agate, with its earthy, variegated tones, is traditionally associated with grounding, balance, and steady growth, and has long been valued as a stone for stability and reflection.

The large jade Buddha meru is traditionally associated with compassion, serenity, and heart-centered wisdom. Jade itself is traditionally associated with protection and balance, and its presence gives this mala a quiet sense of guardianship over your practice.

Ideal for japa meditation or simply as a piece of spiritual jewelry, this mala is a daily reminder to return to your breath, your heart, and your intention.
