This Odaka Yoga bracelet mala was born as a symbolic companion for the spiritual warrior: someone who carries their practice not only onto the mat, but into everyday life. It's built around red heliotrope, sometimes called the stone of invincibility in older folklore, and designed specifically for Odaka Yoga practitioners and teachers who want a piece that reflects the discipline behind the practice.
Materials, meaning, and the Odaka Yoga symbol
Red heliotrope, also known as bloodstone, has an intense, earthy presence — a deep green stone often crossed by red iron-oxide inclusions. In medieval European folklore it was associated with courage and protection, sometimes linked in Christian legend to the blood of martyrs. It's traditionally associated with resilience, vitality, and the ability to stay centered under pressure; here, it works as a quiet reminder of stability and inner strength.
At the center of the bracelet sits a stainless steel charm bearing the Odaka Yoga symbol: a sword, a snake, and an eagle.
The sword, tip pointing toward the earth, represents bushido, the way of the warrior — not the one who goes to battle to fight, but the one who learns not to fight. In this reading, the sword becomes "doing," the path itself: a symbol of discipline, presence, and conscious action.
The kundalini snake, rising from the base of the spine to the head, represents yoga as evolution, fluidity, and awakening — the capacity to move without rigidity, to let the mind flow without becoming trapped in identification with every passing thought.
The eagle, flying higher than any other creature, represents freedom: the ability to act, or not act, without being governed by fear, reaction, or conditioning. Where the warrior's path and yoga meet, they become a single movement — a return to inner freedom.
You can wear it as a necklace or as a triple-wrap bracelet, whichever keeps the stone closest to you.
