When I first saw this stone, I couldn't say no.
There was a small voice inside me asking, "Cristina, you already have 60 different stones at home — are you sure you need this one too?" The answer to how well I resisted is right there in the photos.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece, and now it's yours, if it speaks to you.
Green quartz carries a meaning of its own, different from rose quartz. Where rose quartz is often read as passionate, tender love, green quartz is traditionally associated with a steadier kind of love — one that lets you change without losing yourself: balance, growth, renewal. Less romantic drama, more presence and continuity. It's my personal favorite, and I suspect I'll be bringing home more of this stone — the little voice will just have to make peace with it.
In this mala, green quartz is paired with selenite, luminous and delicate, traditionally linked to clarity and to the ability to make space — for a thought, a decision, a new beginning.
At the top of the strand sits the guru bead, made from Job's Tears — the hard, naturally pearly-white seeds of Coix lacryma-jobi. These seeds have been used for centuries across parts of Asia as prayer beads, worn smooth by hands returning to them again and again. In Japan they're known as juzudama, and they've long been strung into juzu, the Buddhist prayer beads used in daily practice. Here, that same seed marks the point where the mala begins and ends — the meru, the bead you don't count, the one that asks you to pause.
This is a full 108-bead mala, made for japa meditation, mantra repetition, or simply to accompany you through the day. The beads move slowly through your fingers, one at a time — that pacing is really the whole point of the practice.
