Why I Created It

This mala is a tribute to the Sage archetype — the one who finds meaning through lived experience rather than surface appearances. I made it for anyone drawn to truth, clarity, and honest self-expression, especially those with Libra as Sun, Moon, or Ascendant.

Materials & Meaning

Lapis lazuli is traditionally associated with truth, wisdom, and clear communication. Aquamarine is traditionally linked to gentleness, tolerance, and emotional clarity. White jade is traditionally associated with serenity and balance; its Tibetan wing pendant is a traditional symbol of freedom and spiritual growth. At the heart of the mala sits a clear quartz meru bead, traditionally regarded as a stone of amplification and clarity.

The Sage archetype is traditionally associated with the zodiac sign of Libra, representing knowledge born from lived experience rather than personal perspective alone — the search for what lies beneath the surface of things.

Technical Details

– Full Mala: 108 beads (8 mm), approx. 44 in (107 cm) + tassel
– Short Mala: 81 beads (8 mm), approx. 32 in (80 cm) + tassel
– Ultra-resistant cord
– Stainless steel and nickel-free alloy accents

Traditionally, a mala is composed of 108 beads, or of exact fractions such as 54, 27, or 18. This necklace's short version uses 81 beads — a practical, widely used count today, though not part of that original fraction sequence.

Authenticity

Every stone is genuine and untreated — never dyed or heat-treated — hand-knotted on a cord built to last, with hypoallergenic alloy free of nickel.
