Why I Created It

I created this mala as a devotional and meditative tool dedicated to the mantra Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha, one of the most beloved mantras connected to Ganesha. Traditionally, this mantra is recited to invite clarity, grounded wisdom, and the strength to move through obstacles — so I made this mala as a companion for those stepping into a new phase of life, searching for direction, or choosing to move forward with greater awareness.

Materials & Meaning

Ganesha is traditionally regarded as the deity of thresholds, new beginnings, and the removal of obstacles — often invoked when something new begins, or when confusion needs to give way to clarity. There is no transformation without obstacles.

Black and gray moonstone are traditionally associated with inner reflection and honest self-observation, inviting awareness of what lies beneath the surface — shadow patterns, unconscious resistance, inner saboteurs — so each new beginning can be rooted in deeper truth.

Landscape jasper is traditionally associated with grounding and perspective, symbolizing the ability to step back and see the bigger picture rather than react from too close.

Lotus seeds complete the mala — Ganesha is often depicted seated on a lotus, a flower traditionally associated with rising pure and clean from the mud.

– 108 natural gemstone beads (8 mm): gray moonstone from Sri Lanka, black moonstone, and landscape jasper
– Lotus seed accents
– Ganesha pendant (26.5 x 14 x 5 mm) in hypoallergenic alloy
– Total circumference: approximately 106 cm

Every stone is genuine and untreated — never dyed or heat-treated — hand-knotted on a cord built to last. Variations in color, inclusions, and veining are part of the natural beauty of genuine gemstones.
