Why I Created It
Ho'oponopono is an old Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness, built around a short, repeated prayer. I wanted a mala made specifically to hold that practice — something to move through bead by bead as you work through the four phrases at its center.
Materials & Meaning
Rose quartz is traditionally associated with unconditional love and self-acceptance — qualities close to the heart of the Ho'oponopono practice. Rhodonite is traditionally linked to compassion and empathy, often carried as a companion for reconciliation. Moss agate is traditionally associated with grounding and a steady connection to nature, useful during meditation.
At the center of the mala sits a heart-shaped rose quartz meru bead, a small symbolic anchor for the practice.
Use this mala while repeating the traditional Ho'oponopono prayer —
“I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.”
— or during any meditation centered on emotional release and inner clarity.
Technical Details
– 108 natural stones (8 mm): rose quartz, rhodonite, and moss agate
– Heart-shaped rose quartz meru bead
– Length: approximately 44 in (110 cm) + pendant
– Hand-knotted on ultra-resistant waxed cord
– Nickel- and lead-free steel and alloy finishes
Available Variants
Mala — 108 beads (8 mm), length approximately 44 in (110 cm) + pendant. Ideal for traditional meditation and those beginning their mala practice.
Short Mala — 81 beads (8 mm), length approximately 32 in (80 cm) + pendant. A lighter, more practical version perfect for everyday wear.
Traditionally, a mala is composed of 108 beads, or of exact fractions such as 54, 27, or 18. This Short Mala uses 81 beads — a practical, widely used count today, though not part of that original fraction sequence.
Authenticity
Every stone is genuine and untreated — never dyed or heat-treated — hand-knotted on a cord built to last, with hypoallergenic metal components free of nickel and lead.
This mala is created by me, Cristina, one bead at a time.
Composition & Care Instructions
Composition & Care Instructions
Hand-knotted with 100% natural, untreated, and undyed gemstones. Crafted with ultra-durable cord and finished with stainless steel or nickel- and lead-free alloy components.
Your Samdea mala arrives ready to accompany you. Over time, you may feel the wish to renew the ritual that connects you to it — a few quiet minutes with a soft cloth, a moment to restate why you wear it.
It's not about restoring an energy the mala has lost; it's about returning, again, to the intention you first placed in it.
Keep it away from harsh chemicals and prolonged direct sunlight, simply to preserve the materials over time.
